I chose hands on learning for my Wiki research project. I believe that hands on learning is one of the best ways to learn within the class room. Through my research the questions that I developed were, "does hands on learning work better for different subject", and "is hands on learning best for all students"?
The top five things that I learned:
1
Hands-on learning involves the child in a total learning experience which enhances the child's ability to think critically. The child must plan a process to test a hypothesis, put the process into motion using various hands-onmaterials, see the process to completion, and then be able to explain the attained results.
2. Hands on learning is for all types of people and subjects because their are so many different activities that can be used.
3. Their is a need for more hands on learning programs mostly in science because learning science is doing science.
4. Hands on learning activities can be used for all age groups from babies to the teachers who are teaching the activities. All age groups respond to hand on learning activities because they are learning as they are doing.
5. Hands on learning activities can be done through many activities such as song, dance, building, searching, finding and experiencing. Hands on learning is one of the best ways to learning because there are so many ways to do it.
